The A4 2.0T exhaust was designed using sophisticated CAD modeling software to produce smooth gradual bends and to eliminate any interruption to the flow of exhaust gasses. Our improvements to the exhaust path result in gains of 8-9 horsepower and 6-7 lb ft of torque at the crank. Replacing the large, restrictive factory mufflers also has a pleasing effect on the engine note. Our exhaust systems give the 2.0T a civilized, more melodious voice, with specific attention paid to low rpm situations at part throttle. Thanks to the use of our specially designed Helmholtz sound cancellation resonators, we were able to isolate and eliminate unpleasant sound frequencies when the exhaust is mated with the factory downpipes. For Non S-Line clients who would like an AWE Tuning Quad Tip Exhaust System, the polyurethane rear valance is designed to allow quad tip fitment on all non S-Line B8 A4??s and comes in matte black, ready for painting. Originally, an OEM S-Line rear bumper and OEM S4 rear valance were required for proper fitment of the AWE Tuning B8 A4 Quad Tip Exhaust System, but the B8 A4 Non S-line Quad Tip Valance is a simple alternative to a much more expensive option. Each tip variation is available in standard Polished Silver or our recognized Diamond Black plating. The tips sport engraved AWE Tuning logos and are double-walled to ensure a mirror polish, even under hard usage. Each tip is individually adjustable, so stagger and depth into bumper can be set according to personal taste. Please note that due to the use of high flow catalytic converters, our downpipe section is legal only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.
